New Year, New Adventures: Looking for Good Things in 2026
As we wave goodbye to 2025 and welcome a brand new year, we're taking a moment to do what Skoshie does best — look for good things.
And wow, did we find some good things this year!
A Year of New Friends
2025 brought us someone very special: Vaysie the Owl, our newest friend and the star of Whooever You Can Help (Book 4 in the Skoshie & Friends series).
Vaysie reminded us of something important: helping others is more in your power than you might think. Whether it's catching a friend who's falling, building something together, or simply showing up when someone needs you — whoo-whoo-whooever you can help, you should.
We're so grateful she's part of the family now. And not only that, but we also have a completely new line of Little Skoshie & Friends! All the same lovable characters, in infant-to-toddler versions with no small parts (like beanies that are in the original series), and with soft and fluffy textures and crinkle paper in the hands/feet/tentacles for a sensory experience for the little ones.
Celebrating Our Community
This year, we met so many of YOU at pop-up shops, local markets, libraries, and schools. Every time a little one hugs a plushie for the first time, or a parent tells us how much the books mean to their family — that's the good stuff. That's what we're looking for.

What's Ahead in 2026?
We're not ones to spoil surprises (Wisp would never approve of being that loud about things), but we will say this:
2026 is going to be full of new adventures.
New stories to tell. New ways to connect. And plenty more good things to look for — together.
Your New Year Challenge
As you head into 2026, we have a little challenge for you (inspired by our favorite friends):
- Be like Skoshie: Look for good things — even small ones — every day.
- Be like Zeek: Focus on what you CAN do, and do it with all your energy.
- Be like Wisp: Give yourself permission to rest, read, and just be.
- Be like Vaysie: Help someone — whooever you can help.
You don't have to do all of them at once. Pick one. Start small. See what happens.
